The following list describes the basic services that I would like to offer you, as either a prospective, or current musclecar owner. It is by no means all-inclusive, and I would welcome talking with you about other needs you might have and how I could address them.
1. Choosing the right car for you.
Perhaps you have a particular make and model in mind; perhaps you have several possibilities in mind, or perhaps even nothing specific at all in mind. Through a personal interview, I will help you narrow the field. We'll talk about what you plan to do with the car, and whether a restored, original, or project car is right for you.
2. Finding the right car for you.
When you have decided on a specific type of car, I can point you towards where to find it, and discuss the pros and cons of the various ways cars are offered for sale. And if you don't have the time or the inclination, I will undertake the search, and present you with possible candidates.
3. Inspecting and appraising the car.
Once a likely candidate has been located, you may wish to undertake the inspection yourself, with or without my participation; or I will travel to look at it on your behalf. The personal inspection is probably the most critical step in the journey towards becoming a musclecar owner, and I would never advise purchasing a car sight-unseen.
4. Purchase and transportation
Once the car has been selected and purchased, I will be happy to advise you on how best to have it delivered to you. I can also provide guidance on properly insuring your new vehicle. [Please note that I am not affiliated with any particular transportation/car hauler company or insurance company; nor am I associated with any collector car dealer or retailer; I work for you, and you alone.
5. Maintenance
Now that you finally have your new pride and joy in your possession, allow me to give you some advice on how to properly take care of it. Proper maintenance is essential to preserving the car's value, and for ensuring years of trouble-free enjoyment. I can also offer tips on prepping it for car shows.
6. Research and documentation
Whether you're looking for your first collector car, or already have one, I can put my considerable library of automotive literature at your disposal for the purpose of researching pertinent facts and figures: how many were made, factory specifications, what options were available, where to find articles about that make and model, etc. I can also put together an individual "portfolio" of information on your car.
